Summer is such a magical time precisely because of the feeling that if we don’t grasp it in our hands, we will lose it: in other words, it’s transient. You have to make the most of it while it’s here, otherwise you’ll blink and it will be November and you’ll be trudging home with groceries, in the dark at 4:30PM.

This feeling of letting the sunshine wash over you and soak into you, of luxuriating in long, stretched out evenings, is what photographer Winter Browne captures in this new editorial, The Transience of Summer. Here, we see a visual manifestation of the fleeting nature of this special time of year.
