Buy Curious: Where We’re Shopping This Summer

We’re back with another Buy Curious and July’s edition is all about summer. The wedding guest outfit dilemma, the eternal search for a water bottle that doesn’t ruin a look, the beauty products that justify their place in an already overstuffed bag - it’s all here.
From fashion finds to beauty staples, we’ve pulled together an edit of the things catching our eye this month. Whether you’re dressing for the beach or just trying to make the most of the season, read on.
Collina Strada: rhinestone water bottle, £78
As it’s getting hot out I find that my usual go-to’s of items that help make my outfit more interesting are just making me too warm so I’m having to think outside the box. First up is this bedazzled water bottle, my best friend actually has one and it never ceases to get a million complements when he’s out with it. Next are these amazing earrings, pair it with a tank and a silky trouser next time you have to get dressed up on a balmy summer night. Lastly is this lace dress which I think will get soo much wear this summer, rock it to the beach over a bikini, pair it with a long trouser and a cute bra for casual day or bare it all with a contrasting underwear and a pair of heels for a night out!
Gabe Gordon: Nurse Top, $395
Gabe Gordon is the cool girl NY brand I wish was based in London. This pink knit set is so good, the top, which also comes in dress, skirt and tank form, has all of my favourite things, tiny buttons, ruffles, layers AND a double breast.
Lewis Dussurget: window crochet polo, £300
I love an unexpected cut out, it’s a great way to take a classic garment and make it just a little freaky without sacrificing fit. Lewis’ knit and trousers do this really well. The knit would look so good with a graphic t-shirt underneath and I’d love to style the trousers with a striped legging underneath!
Brit Liberg
I’m such a fan girl of Brit Liberg, she’s a multidisciplinary artist, performing, designing and so much more. Britt makes these one of a kind skirts that feel so special and unique. I really love these double layer skirts she’s doing, the gathering is perfectly disheveled and feels very much like a renaissance sculpture.
Vestiaire: Celine leather boots, £263
I’m really into a white shoe at the moment and these vintage Celine boots tick all of the boxes for me - a heel that’s sturdy and not too high and the 80’s vibe that I’m also currently obsessing over. Purple is also really having a moment and these slides from Maryam Nassir Zadeh feel like a subtle way to incorporate it into your wardrobe without instantly becoming a purple girl… if you know what I mean.
High Sport: Scroll Pant, £1240
I’ve had my eyes on these trousers for so long now, they’re a bit of an investment but the quality and fit is unmatched. They’re super stretchy and almost scuba like, flattering on what seems to be all body types and comes in just about every colour you could ever want. I love this black pair with the scroll pattern, paired with a vintage t-shirt and ballet flats is what I want to be wearing all summer.
Emily Dawn Long: Bullseye Drape Knit Dress
I’ve arrived at the age where every summer I have multiple weddings to go to which, tragically, means finding a new dress for each one. I always want to get something that I can wear again in a more casual setting and Emily Dawn Long’s new styles feel like a solid contender for this. Pair any of them with a heel, clutch and an earring for the wedding and flip slops and shoulder bag for an outside dinner on a summer evening.
Lisa Eldridge: Elevated Glow Balm Concentrate, £27
Lisa Eldridge’s new Marilyn Monroe collection is all round beautiful but my favourite product is this dewy, bronzey, balmy highlighter. Perfection.
Violette: Yeux Paint in Cuivre de l'Aube, £33
The perfect shade for hot summer nights.
Victoria Beckham: Contour Stylus, £38
The slender pen format makes precise contouring much easier.
Wella Professionals: Colour Fresh Mask, £16
This has been amazing to knock out the gingery brassiness that my dark brown hair gets from the sun in summer.
