Maraschino’s April 2025 Horoscope
Words: Maraschino
Welcome to April. In typical life fashion, some of it’s cool, and some of it’s kind of a drag. You definitely won’t be bored.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29th was truly gargantuan and the effects will continue to ripple out for the next 6 months. With Neptune officially in Aries for the next 14 years, we’re invited to take bold action to realize our dreams, in stark contrast to the more passive, idealistic and occasionally delulu style of its predecessor Pisces.
Some of the sunnier moments of April happen early on when Saturn in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus on April 4th, the Sun in Aries sextiles Jupiter in Gemini on April 5th, Venus and Mercury finally go direct mid-month, and Mars gets to leave it’s unhappy place (Cancer) for a more lux and elementally-harmonious abode in fiery Leo.

The Full Moon in Libra on April 12th will shake up our relationships, with Venus going direct minutes later in top form, exalted in Pisces. While Mercury in Pisces isn’t ideal, the marine layer lifts on April 16th when it finally shifts back into Aries. The energy between the 20th-28th is going to be pretty choppy, and will likely create or amplify power struggles of all stripes – social, political, personal and professional.
On April 20th, the Sun in Taurus will square Mars in Leo, followed by a Sun-square-Pluto in Aquarius configuration on the 23rd. Mars will oppose Leo on the 26th, and why not, New Moon in Taurus T-squaring Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius on the 27th. I guess just try your best not to add fuel to the fire, and excuse yourself from any table that looks like it’s about to get flipped.
With Pluto in Aquarius and Neptune in Aries behind the wheel for the next 14-20 years, the world and everything in it will be transforming at warp speed, and it’s important to focus our energies on the outcomes we want, personally and collectively, rather than any setbacks we may experience in the short term.
With the North Node in Pisces for the next 2 years, embracing some of her higher ideals like creativity, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness can certainly guide us along the way.

Advice from the Tarot: Knight of Swords
Defend your point of view. Lead with your truth and fight for what’s right. Even though you may be in the midst of a stormy period, do not give up. Remain focused on your goals and carry on.
Happy birthday, Aries! This month you’re stepping into a period of profound transformation and self-discovery, marked by a mix of introspection and inspired action. Neptune entered your sign for the first time since 1861 on March 30th, setting off a 14-year transformative journey of your identity and life trajectory. How you perceive yourself and how others perceive you will shift quite a bit over the next decade and change. Mercury and Venus are still retrograde in Pisces in your twelfth house, so if you’ve been feeling reclusive, confused or processing a lot behind the scenes - that would make a lot of sense right now. The April 4th Saturn-Uranus sextile will help you find innovative solutions to lingering personal challenges particularly surrounding finances and self-worth, and create an opportunity to break-free of outdated habits and beliefs– but only through patience and planning.
I know that’s not always your jam, but the payoff will be *chef’s kiss* if you’re willing to lock in. This could also be a cool time to explore the world of audio subliminal tracks to increase financial abundance if you’re open to it. On April 7th, Venus retrograde will conjunct Saturn and Mercury will station direct in your twelfth house. This alignment asks you to dig deep and confront fears or patterns you’ve been avoiding, and with Mercury back on track, that should help you see the way through with a little more clarity.
The Full Moon in Libra on April 12th will light up your seventh house of 1-on-1 partnerships, bringing a major conclusion or completion to a relationship matter. You may find yourself clearing out karmic clutter related to done-and-dusted romances, and gain insights that help you make critical decisions in this area of your life.
When Mercury in Aries conjuncts Neptune in the first house on April 16th, your intuition will be heightened, but so will your vulnerability to confusion or escapism. Trust your instincts, and try to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground. Mars will enter Leo and your fifth house of pleasure on April 17th, blazing a trail for a steamy spring fling or two to emerge. When the Sun enters Taurus on the 19th, the spotlight will be on your second house of money, resources, and self-worth, and while this would normally be a pretty peachy vibe, Pluto in Aquarius in your eleventh house will be squaring off with the Sun the next day, creating some friction between your values and your friend group. Don’t take the bait if you find yourself at odds with haters, and let the snakes crinkle their heads from the sidelines. The New Moon in Taurus kisses your second house of resources and values on the 27th, and again, Pluto and Mars want to bust up the party a little bit, so you may find yourself in a situation where you have to step outside of your comfort zone to prove your worth or pursue a love connection or creative project regardless of what others say. Lucky Venus enters your sign on the 30th, ending the month on a positive note. Your charm, magnetism, and confidence will get a major boost, and you’ll look even hotter than usual.
Advice from the Tarot: The Fool
Put the past behind you and start over. The adventures ahead will be a lot dreamier than the ones before.
Hi Taurus! Until April 19th, the Sun will be hanging out in your twelfth house of rest and relaxation. The mood is very spa days, champagne and bubble baths, clandestine romances, and other behind-the-scenes indulgences while the world around you does all the wild stuff it’s doing right now. With Mercury and Venus still retrograde in your eleventh house of friendships and dreams, you may find yourself revisiting old connections, reassessing life goals, and tying up loose ends in your social life.
April 4th brings a harmonious connection between Saturn in your eleventh house and Uranus in your first, that will likely urge you to break free from outdated social dynamics and ideas in a structured and methodical way. Whether you’re updating your vision for the future or feeling the pull to connect with like-minded souls, this is a great time for progressive change in how you perceive yourself in the world. On April 7th, retrograde Venus will conjunct Saturn in your eleventh house, further asking you to reflect on your values regarding your friendships and future aspirations.
Are the people you’re surrounded by truly aligned with who you want to become? Do you feel clear on what you want to manifest for the future? That same day, Mercury stations direct in Pisces in the same zone, which should help you find clarity in this area of your life as the month progresses. The Full Moon in Libra on April 12th illuminates your sixth house of health, routines, and work, and asks you to take a closer look at how your daily life aligns with your long-term goals and values.
Around this time, you may have a revelation about sneaky habits that undermine your well-being, prompting you to switch it up and pursue a more balanced lifestyle. On April 16th, Mercury will conjunct Neptune in the twelfth, making it an optimal period for visionary pursuits, working on creative projects behind the scenes, and even picking up a new spiritual practice. When Mars enters Leo and your fourth house of foundations, the focus shifts to your living situation and emotional security, fueling you to address any issues within your home dynamic with the intention of creating a more nurturing and stable environment for yourself. On April 19th, your birthday season begins, and it’s your time to shine and nurture your own growth and happiness.
The skies get a little turbulent on the 20th as Mars in Leo squares off with your Sun, possibly stirring up some drama in your home or with a family member and again on the 23rd when Pluto in your tenth house squares your Sun. This aspect could bring power struggles, or transformations involving an authority figure or your public reputation. Do your best to keep your composure and avoid getting dragged into any drama you’ll regret later. When Venus conjuncts Saturn in Pisces again on the 24th, you have a clearer sense of who your true blue friends are amidst all the chaos of the previous days, as well as a solidified vision of the way forward. The New Moon in Taurus on the 27th will T-square Mars in Leo in the fourth and Pluto in Aquarius in the tenth house, which could feel very “pressure sandwich” between your home and professional life. April 30th brings a likely-welcomed opportunity to slip back into hermit mode when Venus moves into Aries and your 12th house of dreams and the subconscious. This is an optimal time to chill, meditate, journal, and channel some of the explosive energies of the previous days into a creative work if you’re up for it.
Advice from the Tarot: Wheel of Fortune
Create your own luck. Roll with the changes, and be on the lookout for fortunate opportunities.
Hello, sweet Gemini. We start off April with the Sun in Aries and your eleventh house of community and long-term goals. Your ruler Mercury and hot friend Venus are still doing the retrograde shuffle in your tenth house of career and status, potentially creating a fair amount of confusion and delays in your professional life. Do you like your current job? How do you feel about your public image? This is a prime time to get clear on what direction you want to move in before these two station direct on the 7th and 12th respectively.
On April fourth, Saturn in the 10th will sextile Uranus in the twelfth house, encouraging you to break free from any subconscious patterns holding you back from achieving success, while also helping you cultivate a unique, progressive, professional identity. The Venus-Saturn conjunction on April 7th will prompt you to further reflect on your professional life, and the relationships therein, as well as your long-term vision of success. The Full Moon in Libra on April 12th will be illuminating your fifth house of creativity, self-expression and romance. Expect breakthroughs and culminations with a creative project, a romantic relationship, and even just your personal sense of happiness. But you're a Gemini, so you kinda love it, and you’ll double-down even if I don’t encourage you to, which I am. Oh, and Venus goes direct that day, too! Mercury ingresses into Aries on the 16th, and conjuncts Neptune in your eleventh house, inspiring you to connect with your friends on a deeper level or create a new vision for your long-term goals. Be mindful of unrealistic expectations, as well as deceptive advice or people around this time.
Mars will move into Leo on April 17th, firing up your third house of communication, and short-distance travel. You’ll feel energized to assertively share your ideas, and may even be a little impulsive in this regard. By all means, enjoy yourself, but take it easy, especially when the Sun moves into Taurus and your twelfth house the next day, quickly followed by a square with Mars in Leo on the 20th.
On April 23rd, the Sun will square Pluto and bring an intense moment of transformation regarding your beliefs, philosophy, or worldview. You may feel pressure to adapt new ideas or let go of outworn patterns that limit your growth. On April 24th, Venus conjuncts Saturn again, and with Venus direct, this is a great time to make a long-term commitment regarding professional goals. April 26th will bring yet another intense square in your third house of communication and ninth house of philosophy and higher learning, with the New Moon in Taurus in your twelfth house of seclusion climbing in the ring the following day. Try to keep it cool, and steer clear of ideological conflicts around this time, as they may come with gnarlier repercussions than you expect. Sweet Venus glides into Aries and your eleventh house on April 30th, bringing love, light and levity back to your friendzone. Stay up, Gemmy.

This can be a good time for deep healing or renegotiating terms that no longer work for you.

Hi Libra! April is all about balancing relationships and personal growth. The Sun in your seventh house of partnerships through the 19th is spotlighting your one-on-one connections, making it an optimal time for deepening bonds, whether in love, business, or friendships. With that said, Mercury and Venus are still retrograde in your sixth house of daily habits until April 7th and 12th, respectively, so you may still have some kinks to iron out regarding personal health or work before you can truly immerse yourself in the sea of love.

Just remember that when push comes to shove, Pluto’s the powerhouse in this equation, so keep doing you, sweet Libra.
