Its a rainy day and I’m trapped indoors with little to do. Having recently moved to a city I’d never visited before for a new job, in a career sidestep I’d only ever fantasised about, I found myself isolated and a little homesick. Naturally, rather than do anything about that feeling, I decided to stare at my phone and doomscroll into the small hours.
Amid that incessant blare of nostalgia bait content, dated pet videos and expensive interior design accounts I stumbled across a Reel of a dad talking to his daughter about a conversation he’d had with his wife. In the video he walks into his daughter’s room, beanie hat on, and repping an iconic suburban co-ord of ice-cream patterned shorts and a pristinely white Adidas polo shirt.
