The Etiquette of Discomfort explores female autonomy, bodily unease, and the tension between intimacy and performance. Set within the domestic interior, the series uses movement and stillness to express the private, skin-crawling conflict between identity and gaze.

The work is concerned with the quiet, cumulative impact of being perceived as something before being recognised as someone.
