This summer, UK jungle prodigy Nia Archives released her second album Emotional Junglist - an indie-inflected, more melancholy take on the straight up jungle that defined her first and made her a cult favourite.

During a top secret Members Only interview behind the scenes at her Polyester shoot, Nia spilled the beans on the album, the music that influences and inspires her - plus her secret passion for Sci-Fi.

What album changed your life?

The album that changed my life… probably Burial’s Untrue. It’s one of my favourite albums of all time, it really influenced me as a producer - the way it speaks through music without words.

What song are you obsessed with atm?

I’m really obsessed with a song called I Been Young by George Clanton, it’s really like, end credits sort of music

What is your current internet rabbit hole?

Michael Jackson TikTok and the D4vd court case, it’s dark. 

Who’s in your DJ Mount Rushmore?

Cheetah, who’s an artist on my label that I really love, he’s one of my favourite newgen Junglist DJs and producers. Kettama because I love going to his sets, DJ Storm, because she’s an icon and the Queen of Jungle, DJ Assault, and Tim Reaper, I think he’s really cool.

Who is your favourite musician right now?

Madonna, I’ve been in a bit of a Madonna spiral for the past 6 months.

What should we be binge watching?

I really like sci-fi i which is quite embarrassing, I really like Silo on Apple TV.
