Ellie Moon and Karen Knox can't stop working together. Their most recent collaboration, Young Female Playwright, premiered at TIFF and Polyester got a behind the scenes exclusive look at the highly anticipated screening. The film, written by Moon, stars Ellie as the titular young female playwright, with Knox as her party-girl-with-a-moral-compass best friend. The film explores the subject of when fiction gets interpreted as autobiography, particularly when the author is female. Every time a woman writes about a woman and that woman has something bad happen to her we always want to know: did that happen to her? And for the love of God maybe there are more interesting questions. We decided to let Ellie and Knox ask each other a few while they got ready for the big night.
