A Daisy Chain Fields Festival Diary By Quiet Light

Make it stand out
Olivia Rodrigo called me on my personal cell phone in May. I had just gotten off the plane at Chicago O’Hare to play a release show for my record “Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2”. She didn’t have to but she personally asked me and every single artist on the lineup if they would come out to Irvine and play the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival on August 29, 2026.
I’m a big Olivia fan and of course I’m in massive support of the organisations that the festival is raising money for, so it was an instant yes for me. And who would’ve thought that an indie ambient pop artist like Quiet Light would be on the phone with Miss Rodrigo? It’s a strange world and I believe in the impossible.
August 29th, the day of the festival, was one of the best days of my life. Thirteen year old girls were running around with flower crowns in their hair, completely worry free, holding hands with each other, harmony and bliss. It feels unreal that something as beautiful as this festival could have happened and I feel so happy to have been a part of Daisy Chain Fields.
I wore a dress custom designed by Zoe Kestan of Weedslut and my dancers were dressed in Weedslut as well. I met Stevie Nicks and hungout with my Austin friends, Die Spitz. My friends and family came in from Texas to see the show which was really special. My brain chemistry changed after seeing Chappell Roan’s live set. I was starstruck by The Breeders. I have new hopes and dreams in my heart and I am so inspired by the women around me. Thank you Olivia!!! <3
