Not to mention its chaotic namesake, where murder meets matte foundation and Minnesota accents. It’s a take on off moments in drag and the behind-the-scenes buildup or breakdown of a pageant queen. Too much powder. Flaking lips. Tears of joy. Mania. Sadness. We wanted to find the beauty in the backstage, the pretty in the ugly, or the fascinating in the in-between.
