Wisp on Kate Bush, Her Comfort Watch, and the Song That Made Her Want to Start Making Music

Make it stand out

Natalie Lu, aka shoegaze artist Wisp, visited us in our London studio recently for her first Polyester shoot - we gave her pink hair, and she gave us some hints about what might be to come on her as-yet unannounced, but decidedly love-themed second album.

Elsewhere, she also kept us updated on her internet rabbit hole of the moment, and the song that put her on the path to making music. Read on for her recommendations <3

What are you listening to right now?

Right now I'm listening to Turnover a lot!

What’s your current internet rabbit hole?

I've been really obsessed with plane disasters and plane disappearances. So that's been a really fun rabbit hole to go down.

What should we all be binge watching right now?

Well, I don't know if it's repetitive, but it's almost fall and I always rewatch Gilmore Girls during the fall time.

Who’s on your musical Mount Rushmore?

I would put Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, Kate Bush, and Ethel Cain.

What song changed your life?

“Feels Like You” by Whirr changed my life and it is the reason that I started making music.
